Many people are familiar with the fact that certain wines go better with a specific type of food. However, if you are unsure of what exactly you could serve at a very special event in terms of wines, the Cava wine is always a viable solution. This is due to the fact that, the Cava wine is extremely well seasoned and it is a very soothing drink, that can be taken clear or with additional non-alcoholic beverages. The features that make the Cava wine go really great with any type of meal are based on the fact that this is a sparkling wine. The recipe behind these kinds of wines allow them to come perfectly both after fat foods and after easier meals. Depending on the type of Cava wine you opt for, it may have a floral or a fruit note, which can complement various types of dishes.

One of the best meals that can be taken with the Cava wine is made out of spicy food. People have the tendency to advert from drinking alcohol if they are having something spicy to eat, due to the fact that the drink will not mellow the effects of the food. The Cava wine has a lower quantity of alcohol, which makes it perfect for an after meal drink. In addition, you will probably feel the need to opt for a sparkling drink after spicy dishes, as the bubbles have the soothing effect of calming the taste buds in the mouth. Just as in the case of spicy meals, the Cava wine also goes very well with fried or fat dishes. The wine helps the organism digest these heavier foods and make the eating process more delightful.

The variety of Cava wine that you can select from will allow you to decide whether you want a dry or a sweet version. Either way, there are special meals which can be seasoned by this type of drink. The sweet wines better compliment sour or fat dishes, while the dry wines are great with appetizers and deserts.

You don’t have to be an expert to know that the Cava wine taste is a fantastic alternative to champagne. Wine maker, Josep Raventos formulated Cava wine during the 1860′s in the champagne region of France. The sparkling wine from this region has a crisp, dry and yeasty taste. He loved the taste so much that Raventos chose to create his own in Spain. He used the exact same method that the French used to create their Champagne.

In short, the Cava wine taste is very similar to the taste of French champagne. The same types of grapes of used and both the processing and storage methods are basically the same. Cava wine is generally less expensive than champagne. It has more to do with demand than anything else. You see French champagne is far more popular than Cava wine. Two of the most popular and well-known name French champagnes include Dom Perignon and Cristal. These champagnes are priced much higher and a great deal of high end marketing tactics goes into promoting these champagnes.

For decades the spectacular Cava wine taste has flown under the radar. Not many know this but, if you’ve ever purchased champagne from Freixenet or Cordoniu, then you were actually purchasing Cava. It’s produced in climates that are warmer and more consistent making the grapes riper. The grapes are handpicked and graded in the same way the French prepare their champagne for a fraction of the cost. Make no mistake about it anyone on a budget will not be disappointed when buying Cava wine.

If you are anything like I was a couple of years ago then you would have never heard of Cava wine, but as soon as you get a taste of it you will be wondering how you missed it in all of those years. Cava is a sparkling wine which is very similar to Champagne that is made in France, while Cava is made in Spain, and is aged for up to two years before being sold in stores. Anything made outside of Spain, no matter what they try to tell you when they are selling it, can not be rightfully called Cava wine. That doesn’t mean it is hard to get in other parts of the world, for example in the United States there is a popular and widely available Cava named Freixenet, but it is only produced in Spain.

So you see, it is similar to Champagne in more ways than one, both must come from certain regions to be considered legitimate or even legal. Right now there is about 250 Cava wine makers operating in the northwest region of Spain who produce over 130 million bottles of this sparkling wine every year, much of which is headed overseas. Like I said earlier, it is one of the more unknown types of wine in much of the world, and that is certainly true in my area, but it is not hard to find if you look around and ask the right people; there are also many websites online where you can place an order.

Cava wine is a special type of sparkling wine that is produced in Catalonia and Andalucia, which are located near Barcelona. Cava is a word that originated from a green work which means “high end”. Caves played a large role in the production of cava wine over 100 years ago, which is another meaning for the word.

Cava wine is for anyone, whether you prefer a very dry or unsweetened wine, or a very sweet wine. Terminology is key when choosing a cava wine to drink, because Dulce is not the same as Brut. Cava wine is an elegant wine that has a great variety of flavors to explore and tingle your taste buds with. Many countries around the world create their own varieties of sparkling wine, but Cava can only be made in one area, but is distributed around the world for wine drinkers all around.

When purchasing this type of wine you have to look out for fakes, to be sure that you are really purchasing the high quality wine it claims to be. Cava wine can only come from very specific areas in Spain, and nowhere else. If a wine seller tries to sell you Cava wine from Germany or some other country, decline their offer and run away. True cava wine is superb in flavor and scent, and will not come cheap from “cheap” sources. Look for wine that is fermented in the bottle, and has a nice coloring to it. Remember to check for the type of grapes that the particular wine you want to purchase is made from, because the variety of grape is extremely important.

There are so many tastes and flavors of wine existing today, one of the most famous and well- known being the Cava wine. It has been around for the past two centuries, dating back to its first invention in 1851 (while this particular variety came to its existence in the 1860′s and is produced in the northern region of Spain – Penedes area of Catalonia, where 95 % of Cava wine is produced).

It looks like a sparkling wine. In addition, its taste is very similar to Champagne, which is not Spanish, but instead a French discovery. It is called Cava because in Spanish it means “cellar or caves,” which is where this wine is aged and fermented for some 18 to 24 months prior to being sold.

The kinds of grapes which are used to make it are: Macabeo, Xarello, Parellada, Subirat and Chardonnay for the white variety and red Garnacha and Monastrell for the red variety (or Rose styled Cava wine), which helps to give it a light, fruity and perfumed essence and flavor.

At the present, there are some 250 producers of Cava Wine in Spain, which fall in six defined regions so they can be legally called Cava. Frexinet, a famous sparkling wine in the USA, accounts for holding 60% of the production and distribution volume share of Cava wine each year.

Any wine produced outside those regions is not Cava. Its production carries a heavy price so any low-priced sparkling wine made by the same “Charmat process” will just be “Spanish Sparkling Wine” and not genuine Cava.

I tried Cava wine for the first time about four years ago. I had decided that I wanted to start trying different kinds of wine, so Cava was one of the ones that I tried out for myself. As soon as I had my first glass, I really liked this type of wine, and knew that it was something that I could enjoy on a regular basis. Once I finished my first bottle of Cava, I decided that instead of automatically trying out a different kind of wine, I would rather try another (but different) bottle of Cava. Although I still try other types of wine on a regular basis, Cava has definitely become my drink of choice.

If you aren’t familiar with Cava wine, I would be happy to give you a little background information on it. Cava is a sparkling wine which is made in Spain. I think the reason that Cava tastes so good is because it is made with the same method that is used to make Champagne (although Champagne is a sparkling wine from France instead of Spain).

Although you may not be real familiar with this type of wine, it has been around since the end of the nineteenth century. However, it has only been called Cava since the 1970s. The reason that Cava earned its name is because Cava means cellar in Spanish, and that is where this type of wine is aged and fermented in the bottle.
